Nemesis

Superior Sound with NeoFM Synthesis

Nemesis combines classic digital synthesis methods with the modern NeoFM synthesis technology. NeoFM offers more flexibility and easier programming than traditional FM synthesis while providing high-quality sound with a warm and creamy character.

The synthesizer covers a wide sonic range from warm and smooth to cold, metallic and silky sounds. Its extensive synthesis options, effects and modulation capabilities make Nemesis suitable for a wide range of sound design applications.

Nemesis includes 1,165 patches created by professional sound designers and delivers high-end sound quality with low CPU usage.

SOUNDS & SYNTHESIS

Nemesis combines a comprehensive sound library with a wide range of digital synthesis methods. The synthesizer features a distinctive silky sound character and covers everything from warm and smooth tones to classic metallic FM sounds.

Supported synthesis methods include NeoFM, true FM synthesis, phase modulation, waveshaping, additive synthesis, phase distortion, formant synthesis, waveform crossblending, PWM, ring modulation, waveform resynthesis and resonance.

Users can also import their own content for additional sound design possibilities.

Nemesis offers polyphonic, mono, legato and true 4x stereo unison play modes.

The synthesis engine provides refined sonic stability across different DAW sample rates. At 44 kHz and 22 kHz, aliasing is reduced by up to 12 dB, while at 88 kHz and 176 kHz it is reduced by up to 20 dB. This results in a cleaner harmonic structure and improved clarity, particularly with complex patches.

Chords benefit from improved coherence when using Fat 1 or Very Clean microtuning modes.

EFFECTS

Nemesis includes 48 high-quality effects that can be combined and routed flexibly.

The ducking module dynamically reduces reverb tails to create more transparent mixes. Smart microtuning analyzes played notes automatically to improve chord behavior.

An optional psychoacoustic module can enhance perceived impact and loudness. The gate section enables rhythmic patterns, while contour, fading, swing and shuffle provide additional timing control.

The reverb algorithms have also been refined:

Reverb Ultra offers improved default parameters, smoother rolloff, reduced phasing and greater depth
Reverb Big provides increased detail, depth and smoother frequency response
Reverb Infinity delivers a more transparent spatial image with reduced phasing
Reverb Plate provides a more detailed and stable reverb field
Reverb Trance offers smoother processing and improved spatial consistency
Reverb Glass provides increased clarity and depth
Reverb Large uses 64-bit processing for improved transparency and detail
Reverb Medium and Reverb Small feature a reduced noise floor and increased clarity

ARPEGGIATOR

The integrated arpeggiator supports note sequencing, direction control, auto-chords, polyphonic playback, glides, swing and matrix integration.

MODULATION

Nemesis provides extensive modulation options via drag & drop and the modulation matrix. Numerous modulation sources can be connected to sound parameters, including LFOs and MIDI messages.

Modulation can operate at audio-rate speeds for detailed and dynamic sound design.

MIDI Learn allows controllers to be assigned quickly and easily.

INTERFACE & WORKFLOW

Soundsets are visually highlighted in the patch browser for faster navigation. Template patches are clearly separated from regular patches through distinct color coding.

Improved init patch parameters provide optimized starting points for sound design.

The installer has been optimized for easier setup, with VST3 installed by default using standard configuration settings.

ENHANCED GRAPHICS

The interface features refined background rendering, while displays and diodes use subtle color transitions for a more organic visual appearance.

The keyboard design features softer shadows for improved depth perception. Overall visual noise and graphical glitches have also been reduced.
